cinema 4d to 3dsmax learning curve

Hi all,

We have an applicant who works with cinema 4d and would like to work for us in 3dsmax. Does anyone know how long it would take to convert someone form C4D to 3dsmax.

It all depends on what you want to do...
Generally, though, i'd say it's VERY straightforward.
Everything's pretty much similar, even the paradigm of object+modifiers is very very close between the two apps.

In any case, sit him in front of max, and see how he gets around, what kind of questions he asks, and you'll know if HE will be quick jumping over

That is something we always do, but it is good to know that they are very similar. I have never even seen Cinema 4D so i haven't got a clue on how it works.

We will see how it goes.
