  • Machine Slow Down

Last week my machine decided to take a long time to do any thing - booting up, shutting down, opening programs, even longer to open the material editor so on and so forth.

I cannot recall installing anything that might have caused it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to flush the system without having to reinstall win 64 ?

    Thanks

Well you need to find out whats causing it to run slow.

Best thing to do is as soon as you can when it boots into windows, bring up the task manager.. CTRL+SHIFT+ESC and see if anything continues to suck down cpu or memory after its booted up.

It could be something like an antivirus program gone wrong, a firewall, etc..etc..

You could always run msconfig and disable any no essential startup items and see if that helps.

There is always a reason for these thigns, and there isnt really a way to just flush things out.. you need to sort out whats causing it.

I really love ccleaner, its completely free and will empty your computer of junk and also run through the registry and clean that up to.
