I'm curious on what other method for doing things like the brightness from XP 64 on a MacBook Pro

Also, don't confuse the MacBook Pro (laptop) with the Mac Pro (desktop)

I specced my 17" MacBook pro with 2G (the current minimum) the high-rez display, and the 7200rpm HD. I would have loved 4G, but since this came out of my personal expenses, I had to cut back a little... I figure I can always upgrade later.

My desktop at work we got last November, it's Mac Pro with 5GB of ram (1G with 4G from a third party was much cheaper than 4G from Apple) and the Quadro 4500... it's faaaaast
