Backburner email notification

Hi guys,

Is there anyway to get backburner to send out an email in the event of a node dropping out or other defined activity?

I just had a look at the farm monitor and one of the nodes had been off for 2 hours and it bugged me that I lost that rendering time before I reset it.

We use network monitoring to check for slaves that are down. To check for a crashed server.exe one could use either wmi to check if the process is running, or use the manager's telnet interface to check for the availability of slaves.
