yes it would, I can't imagine autodesk would pay whatever they did for the company just for the rights to throw it into their software packages for essentially free. No I think they will probably just do what they did with maya. Stick the name autodesk on the front of it and call it a day.

                Ditto

Even though i can see some stuff being bloated: like adding a mudbox FBX export that doesn't work as expected, change the max 3D acceleration so to definitively break it, add new useless painting tools (useless as the rigging is BADLY broken in versions 8 and 9, so either sculpt still stuff, or go home), and so on...

                  Hm...
IMHO it won't be inserted in max.
                  There's no space to
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

Well, if Autodesk has announced that, with Max 2008, artists can "transform objects up to 60 times faster", perhaps thet's an indication they're getting some underlying technology in place so they CAN integrate it.

They announced MUCH faster viewports in max9 compared to max8 as well.. cant say I have really noticed that. So who knows..... will be interesting.

i also cant imagine, they will build it inside of max.

they would have to rebuild the whole viewport. And if their speedimprovments are as they where in max 9 , compared to max8, hmmm...

transforms of objects up to 60 times faster ?

sounds like a new way of viewport clipping....
