  • q6600 or Xeon 3220 ?

The price is almoust the same and sometimes xeon is even cheaper. What do you think is better to get (there will be OC). Will xeon work without problem on standard mobo (ASUS P5K Premium). Or I might have a problems?

    get a 'g0' q6600 for massive overclocking

the only reason you'd want a xeon would be for dual cpus

also - i dont know that they will work on the same motherboards, i dont think so.

There is a socket 775 xeon clocked at 2.13ghz i think but it is not multi processor compatible. It is for all intents a rebadged q6600 at a lower speed I think.

rebadged of not.. this is one fast sucka. i upgraded from a core2duo e6300 on an asus p5b-vm Mb. and i love the speed.. i am no overclocker so i can't say anything about OC
