  • Swapping materials?

    Hi guys,
I thought materials had to be uniquely named, in a single MAX scene.

Instead, if a "Concrete" materials is in the scene, then I copy/paste than name on a different material (in the editor), and then apply it to an object, MAX does not ask me if I want to replace the material in the scene with the new one with the same name....

    What is that about?

    This is MAX 9.

What is the best way to swap material in a scene using materials either from the editor or from another scene?

    thank you

    regards

    Gio

Anyways, thank you Lele, I had mispelled my materials, capital letters, spaces here and there...geez, I have got to get away from this computer...

Yea, with the exact same name, the "Put to scene" works now....

      ciao
