  • LappyMats - Laptop Screen Protectors (My New Company)

    Hey guys and gals,

It has been awhile but I wanted to tell you about my new invention / new company I started... well I should say finally went live with.

    LappyMats.com - http://www.lappymats.com

I have created and am in the process of patenting (Patent Pending) a laptop screen protector / cleaner which can benefit anyone with a laptop or small portable device. The product is made from a custom microfiber material and is cut to fit both Apple and PC products no matter what the size.

The LappyMat can serve 2 major purposes and a under development 3rd purpose, it allows a soft cushion to be laid in-between your laptop lid and keyboard to provide full protection from scratches and scuffs that are caused by your keyboard or track pad while traveling. And it also acts as a cloth to clean dust, dirt, & everyday oils off any part of your laptop. As a 3rd option that I am not really pushing as of yet is the microfiber material can also be used with a bit of water and elbow grease to remove scuffs off the case of your laptop. I am still in the research phase of this aspect but as of now the product has worked in removing scuffs from 4 laptops leaving the surface once again shiny and new.

Any comments or suggestions are more than welcome on our products and we would love to hear feedback from anyone.
    Thanks
    Mathew Everett

er , yeah... how does it differ from any other microfibre cloth - an e-cloth for example? (i have an e-cloth and it's superb)
i'm not knocking the idea - just wondered if there is a difference.

        good luck!

I have never suffered any damage from my keyboard on my screen on any laptop I have owned. In fact the only damage I have ever seen on a laptop from the keyboard was on a 12" PowerBook which had been sat on I think, and I think that that person ended up buying a product identical to yours after the fact - this was about 5 years ago. Is there really a market for this?

There is a huge market "must be we are selling them like hot cakes", Toshiba and Dell laptops are notorious for key marks on the screen. It was actually Toshiba laptops that gave me the idea in the first place, as all my college buddies laptops had key marks on them...

If you travel with your laptop and shove them into backpacks and bags with other items the pressure on the lid pushes the center on the keyboard.

As for the Microfiber it is far different than the generic stuff on the market that is made in China. Our Microfiber is the only fiber on the market with a patent for its technology. Along with it is a lifetime warranty on the physical product.

a few companies ship their laptops with a foam type piece to keep this from happening when you first get your new laptop, but most often their product fall apart after a few months of use.

While Klearscreen is a good product, our product will clean the screen even better by just dampaning it with a little bit of water. The microfiber cloth attracts grease, dirt & dust and your able to re use it.
            Thanks

The actual fiber amount... your cloth is more like a cloth rather than a suede type microfiber. Our products have Billions of fibers per square inch. And it is thin enough to lay between the keyboard and lid of the laptop so you don't put extra pressure on the laptop hinges
              Thanks

This isnt the first post by you which makes you sound like you've got out of bed on the wrong side. Why dont you read the product info on his website and you might discover its not just a cheap piece of cloth which you could buy from any fabric shop. Its better, which is proven in its patent.
