Quick Maya question - channel box sliding values.

I have a simple Maya question. I am desperately trying to remember the shortcut that allows you to change values in the channel box like a max slider - i.e. get the values to go up or down with a movement of the mouse. I seem to remember being able to do this but I can't remember how.

click on the channel, middle mouse button drag left to right....

Thanks a million for the speedy reply, I feel like a bit of an idiot, I couldn't get the middle mouse button to work at first, what I was doing wrong was forgetting to move the mouse back into the viewport. This will save a tonne of time as I am working with a rig that custom channels for the fingers but not custom UI, it was a real pain the arse figuring out positive and negative directions for the 20 or so joints.
