  • Stolen Imagery - Is any of this yours?

There is an individual in our city that has started a 3D visualization company using imagery from our website. He has taken it down and now is now using imagery from several other companies without their permission. I recognize several images from past CGarchitect gallery and award submissions. One of them in fact was a gallery image in my book from last year.

If any of this imagery is yours or if you know who's it is, please let the individual or company know. I would also warn anyone that is or planning to do work with this individual, that he has never worked in visualization before and has never used the software. If you do work, make sure you receive a deposit up front.

    The website is www.makerainco.com

What an ass ! I just can't believe some people are that stupid and/or arrogant that they'll put up someone else's work and claim it as their own. Seriously, I think my work is pretty nice ( ) but there are defintely people out there who are far,far more talented than I am and whose images really make mine look subpar but I'm not about to put them up on my website as examples of work I can produce. I'm too proud of the work I do do and know how hard these other people worked on their images. What the hell is he going to do when he gets a job and can't produce anything at that level?

If what you say is true, I wonder if he's using registered software ? http://www.bsa.org/country.aspx

It's funny, a while ago I got an invitation from this "company" to send some of my best work to him because they were looking for new people to join their company.
I never trusted it, so I didn't send anything of course.

the mail came trough via cgarchitect.com jobs.

That companie seems to be a joke.....all the pics are really different in their style, i mean technical and artistic feelings.....the founder is a business man....:"A grraduate of Wake Forest University with a degree of economics...."..Bah if i need someone to give renderings i won't trust that one...
