Any good skydome texture that you can recommend? I am looking for ones with a tree line as well.

      Skydome

That is the place that I got the ones I have, but they don't seem to be high enough resolution.

I bought the Marlin Sky's, but like the other skydome's I can't get the sky illuminated. I exclude gi and shadow casting and remove the sphere from the vraysun. I add a omni, which excludes everything but the sphere.... will not get brighter. Any clues?

VRayLightMtl with a multiplier of 1 with your sky map in the map slot. Exclude Receiving/Generating GI and set visible to GI off.

I adjust the brightness of the image by manually adjusting the gamma setting when I load the image. I usually find that the images are washed out so I specify a gamma of like 3 or 4 for the image and it looks better. But your mileage may vary.

We bought some here and i do like them. Not as good as custom ones but do the trick. The Skies bundle (non-hdr) also comes with a bunch of horizon pics that i found pretty useful.

                  Regards,
                  Thorsten
