  • DWG Blocks

    Hi people,

Just a quick question, when i import acad files into maxi gebin to edit the drawing by deleten all the stuff that i don't need.
Problems is when i try to delete "block" my drawing get messed up.
i tried unlink, dwg clean script. but that does not work.

any1 has an idea how to get rid of those blocks?

    cheers

Somebody did a script on cgarchitect to sort this. Do a search for 'block' and 'dbarc' perhaps over there...
      Kind Regards,

I actually use a script called "DWG Cleanup" by Jon Seagull to do this...

The way I do it is explode everything, purge and audit and then save before importing. On import I select to load everything as one model.
But then again, I draw everything in Max and only use facade views as reference.

If the dwg is just for reference I like to use file link, that way when I'm done with it lust detach and all the layers and blocks are gone.
