Ipower workstation

I am configuring a new system and many of the details are just beyond what I am familiar with. Ipower was a name I came across on this forum and they seem pretty well priced. I love my boxx but I can't afford a new one.

I am not sure on the MB or the power supply or if the cooling is sufficient.

I just went though 3 of those motherboards, one I am guilty of killing but the other two were just very unstable. My guess is that the 650i chipset is just being pushed too far with the 1333 fsb and the 9 time multiplier on the cou. Personaly I'd try to go a newer nvidia chipset or better yet a intel P35 based MB.

Your going to end up with 2 powersupplys you know that right

THe case comes with one.

I havnt heard of that brand before but I would recommend a PSU from a good make. Antec, Enermax, silverstone..etc..etc..

You can get them without PSU's they look great, and are silent. I have my old X2 in thre with 4 or so HDD's and its silent. Have to put my ear at the back to hear it. And even then its only an faint air noise.

Your 8600 should fit just fine I would image.

i ve just bought that case myself, and i must say i love it!
it s great imo!
spacious and nicely finished thick panels for good sound proof and 3 120mm stock fans that seem to work out very nicely!

Da Force I know the case comes with one but its 420w is that enough power?
The processor colling was extra as well it may be overkill I just don't know.

No 420w wouldnt be enough. 600w minimum to be safe.

No I went with an Hp instead. I read so many bad reviews of this company. Not sure if hp is much better but the price ($1100 for a q6700, 4 gigs of ram, and a 8600gt) was nice.
