I am file linking into Max9 SP2 from ADT2008 (or Autodesk Architecture 2008 as it is now known). I model in ADT in milimeters and when I file link, convert to meters 'on-the-fly' as it is easier to work in max with meters.
However, fine detail is lost through this import - for instance, I often put 1.5mm (or thereabouts) fillets/chamfers on the edges of objects to catch the light when rendering. This detail is lost through the import. I have tried all sorts of settings for 'weld thresholds etc, but nothing helps.
In max8 (which we have recently upgraded from) import was fine and the detail wasn't lost.
Any ideas on this?
