Recently I almost purchased a set of hi precision titanium drill bits, highly trained professionals were waiting at the other end of the phone line to take my call - I was totally sold- then I realised I didnt have a drill
on a more serioius note, what measures are in place so that a disgruntled employee does'nt walk away with your hard work (this is for renderfarm companies in general and not specific to rendertime)

Please tell me you have a computer..
whats to stop people from taking you work from a website or a forum ? hopefully we would build up a certain amount of customer relations and trust.

I am talking about final versions of max source files not image files

              Its a fair question Natty.

Fair comment mate, to be honest we have most textures and model library's that are abvailible on the market, (and all rpc), Of course we also sign NDA agreements not to share or use information if required, to be honest Tom rendertime wouldnt want to gain notariaty through others work, as we produce stunning work ourselves and the renderfarm is just a facility that we thought we would offer people when we are not using it.

Natty glad to see you got render power of that magnitude...
What kind of rendering platforms do you support? 3ds max/vray only?
We may need help with rendering a lot of vray for maya frames. And maya/mr frames in general.
                  Thanks!

yeah I hear ya. I worked with maya for past 5 years, and still don't have the confidence to render on any farm
Max users dont know how lucky they are to have backburner...

So what do you have in Maya? as it owned by the same company.

well out of the box maya has absolutely no render network manager. So, there are many render managers out there, but they are ether too expensive or hard to integrate with 3rd party renderers.
The worst thing is that, in max mental ray network rendering license is free, due to integration with backburner. But in maya is not free. So this over complicates things by a lot.

WOW.. i didnt realise this, i guess this will change for future releases and backburner will be more universal..

well backburner itself is very universal. You can use it for just about everything...only the maya integration is missing
