I know this question has been asked a thousand times - but the damn cards keep changing so often. I am building a new workstation for home, I'll be doing max (of course) but also alot of Modo and Zbrush. I am probably going with a boxxtech 8300 With Dual Xeon Quad Cores, to save money I was thinking of going with the FX 1700 rather then the FX 3500 - anybody have any thoughts performance wise.

I have also been looking at the Dell Precision 6900 -very similar price, but I have had a good experience with boxx so far with other rigs ( my current work rig is pretty damn solid - touch wood :] ) so why take the risk ?
