  • Rendering out Geometry Texture

    I have a piece of geometry which has a texture and UVW map applied but, I want to render out the texture, as it is on the geometry - does anyone know how do I do this ?

    Is it something which can be done through a UVW Unwrap modifier ?

    make an orthographic camera and frame the bit you want, turn off default/extra lights and put your environment light to white.

    Although now I usually just print screen the viewport and create the entire thing in photoshop from scratch.

        Easier yet, apply an unwrap uvw modifier to it, go into face mode, select all faces, hit planar, hit fit, hit edit, scale down the uvs so they all fit into the inner most bounded blue box, then at the top I believe it's under the "tools" menu, press "Render to UVW Template", paint the template, apply the texture voila!
