    really, really great stuff colin!

i haven't tried it yet, but from the looks of it, this is a real lifesaver. tracking down all those missing maps from lazy colleagues or external scenes can be a great pain, thank you for sharing - great job!

My co-worker is dying for the vrayproxy relink too, I'll write it in the next few days or so and post it here. I never find relinking xrefs very difficult as I try not to have more than 4 anyway.

Thank you, proxy is more important than xrefs.

For xref linking sometimes we have up to 20-25 xrefs but not a big deal to relink them

I do alot of remote work as well and what I've done for vrproxies to go back and forth from work and whatknot is save the exact directory structure to all of our work's vrayproxies to my portable harddrive (At work our drive is located on the Q:\ drive), then when I get home plug in my portable harddrive:

                    1. right-click 'my computer' my my desktop, left-click "manage"
                    2. click "Disk Management" on the left side
                    3. right-click my portable harddrive, and click "change drive letter and paths", and change it to Q: so my computer at home reads it the same as out network drive and the proxies are all there.

isn't it possible to actually map the computers C drive as another letter? that way you could basically have both at the same time and wouldn't have to switch back and forth. Max would find everything, and other programs that would need the C drive would also work fine.

A quick question, just to clarify what this tool does.
We've got lots of files where I'll transfer an entire project to a different drive. The Xrefs are right next to the original max file that I opened, so Max finds them, but of course if I submit a job to render on the farm it will fail.
Does this tool fix this problem kind of automatically? If max finds it does it just change the path to that? or would we still have to do that manually. The same thing happens for maps, but Much less often since most of our maps are always in a central location and they don't ever get moved.

Yes, you could map your c drive as another drive as well if you liked, my example was for those of us that use external hds to switch between work and home.

This tool relinks missing bitmaps. It doesn't relink missing vrayproxies or xrefs as of yet, but possibly in the future. If your scene is missing bitmaps in materials/background image/ etc it will attempt to find the files in a different location that you (the user) specifies and relink them correctly to the new location. This is handy if you transfer max files from home and work as their locations on the hd change at each location.

                        Hope this helps,
