  • PF / Displacement

i dunno why, but can't get vray displacement with pf to work.
have a pf setup, with shape instance and vraydisplacement on base object.
    but he wan't render it.
i renderd as single mesh, mesh per particle and all...

and 2nd problem is i'am using a fast sss shader on it, is there a possibility to have sort of a fast sss render element?

    best regards

It may work if you use a Mesher object. V-Ray completely disregards the mesh generated by particle flow and instead composes the mesh itself using the position/velocity/shade information for the separate particles.

You can use VRayMtlSelect render element to extract the FastSSS material into its own element.

hi vlado, thanks for the tips.
i'am using a vrayblend mat with the fast sss as base mat. the blend mat in a multi-sub mat.
i try'd to instance the fast sss mat and using it as material select pass, but he renders black.
using still rc5 though, maybe thats a problem.

It should not matter that the fast sss is inside any other material; you can select it as the material inside a VRayMtlSelect render element (but make sure it is an instance, not a copy). Just did a quick test here and seemed to work fine.
