  • Anyone know a good stereoscopic plugin - works with VRaycam?

Looking for a Vraycam compatible stereoscopic/anaglyphic plugin.

Thanks to posts here I found: Stereographer Max - http://burningpixel.com/Max/StereoG.htm

But it doesn't work with VRaycam.

Anyone know of a plugin or script that will?

    Thanks!!!

You shouldn't need to use any plugins for that. Just create the second camera yourself and (if you want anaglyph) composite the pictures in post.

Do they have to have the same target?

      Or should they be parallel?

They should have the same target.... both your eyes focus on the same thing. For best results, place them a realistic distance appart with a realistic focal length/film gate

Make sure to keep them in Z axis with each other, don't let that shift.

In fact, once you have them placed successfully you should just parent them both to dummy and animate the dummy, not the cameras individually.

JeffG2 how was your tests with this? Can you post some images with your results?
          Kind Regards,

I had pretty good luck. I also found an app called Anaglyph Maker that was very useful. It does good conversion. www.stereoeye.jp.

The below are red-blue, two are color and one is monochromatic. They are resized. I did a dumb thing by using red and blue neon lights (duh!) so that messes with the effect a bit. They are test images (hence the lack of artistic value!)
