Hi,
I work for a developer as the only CGI artist in the business. Therefore when I am not here it is difficult to access images that are not complete. I have set up an adobe web photo gallery for the finished (as in when they are printed in the brochure) images according to job, which is available on our intranet.
Quite rightly, I should be keeping a record of any images I issue to either the planning dept. or sales dept, which I will probably do in the form of a memo.
Do you keep a WIP directory of images with revision in, and is this available throughout your business. I know much of this is related to someone who works alone in a large business, but we have had situations where the boss knows a job is not finished, but wants to know what we have so far - fine if I am in - a problem if I'm not.
I'd be interested to know how others store and issue their images prior to and including the finished article.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Trev
