I'm trying the demo and it looks very good to me! I agree it's quite expensive. But the real shame is on max that something like this isn't already in the package to begin with. How old is that max material editor anyway?

Hey this thing of coinage change goes both ways.
As Trick noted, we European, euro-based chaps have to pay silly prices (~1.6X at the moment, plus 20% VAT in Italy, go figure) for U.S./Canadian bred products.
For once, measure it on its merits, and shell da damnable dosh if properly impressed!

EDIT: those numbers above are pure BS, I did the conversion the other way around. Still, I think we're about around there, all included.Someone from Italy might lend a hand here...
To give you a real-life example, though, I've been donated 50 US$ from a user of my scripts. After Paypal, and currency conversion, I netted 29.92 Euros (1.67 times less money, was the burger appreciation holding, which it more than does)

Particularly as they bite a bit off.

29.9 euro converted to 47.2 usd. Not too shoddy for a $50 transaction.

What's going on. I'm crap at maths, so I'm hoping I am mistaken.

Anyway, My point was actually that with the dollar at a record low, things don't cost that much here in Europe (where we don't throw our economies down the drain).
Now with Autodesk its another ball, as they have a special European price that costs a lot more than the US licenses.......that pi$$es me off.

Extra, extra! Read all about it! This just in:
                Hi all,

in response to the recent development of the USD/Euro exchange rate - and according to our announcements - we decided to adapt the price of the USD version of NodeJoe to let non-European customers get NodeJoe at the same price-performance ratio than the European ones.

With the opening of our "US-shop", NodeJoe will be available for 289 USD for non-European customers. Please choose the corresponding option on our online-shop, according to your country (Please notice that the US version will only work in non-European countries and cannot be shipped inside the EU).

For our European fellows, we have a small present due the introduction of our US-shop:
New European customers will get a discount of 15,9% ordering NodeJoe before the end of April!

So now we hope, that no one has to pay much more "cheeseburgers" for NodeJoe than the others

                Best regards,
                Your NodeJoe Development Team
