  • solutions for animating things going inside the hose.

Does anyone have any idea how I can animate for example ball that goes into sock (so the ball deform the sock form inside) I was trying cloth but it's falling down and I need more stiff object like water hose. I tried conform space wrap but it also doesn't work like I want it to.

but I'm trying to figure out something more automatic. with fdd I will have to do everything manually.

This is an early test for something that i'm working on for my demo reel. It should help somewhat...

Dwayne thanks man It's much closer to what I'm looking for. If only I could now attach some other shape than sphere for displace.

Maybe try a volume select using the object you want as the object selecting the vertices...then add the displace mod...just off the top of my head. I'll try and play with it at lunch a bit.

The ffd is pretty easy to set up, just get the deformation you like and then wire the ffd lattice position to the ball's position
