Couple questions for you laptop users

1) Is it me or is does my machine run slower on battery?

2) Backburner seems to reset and/or crash when network connectivity is lost (wifi). Only solution so far is to disable my network adaptor when rendering with backburner. Is there a better solution?

Many laptops will throttle down the CPU when they're on batteries; might be able to change that with the power settings or through software.
