animating a train

hello,
whats the best way to animate a long train ( 60 + cars) along a path? i have a path of the track which conforms to the terrain and have been playing with the path constraint...i'm having alot of trouble getting the wheels of all cars to stay on the track...any ideas?

Toy train will work for a basic animation but a bones setup with some IK solvers is necessary if you need the wheels of each car to stay on the track around corners in detail. I used to know of a good tutorial on how to set it up, if you need it I can look around a bit for it.
