1 version of max 2009 now ?

Hi guys,

I just went to download the trial of 3dsmax 2009, and when installing it only gives me the choice of running 3dsmax 2009, not the design or other flavour ?

Have the 2 versions been amalgamated ?

My guess is its just the nature of the trial version.

Beyond the SDK and lighting analysis, there isn't any difference between the two; hence no option with the demo to install either version.

Hi,

The two versions reside on different pages on the AME site.
You have to be on the 'Design' page to download the Design
version.

Odd. Why even offer a demo version for both?

I have absolutely no idea what version i'm using - if it's meant to say wether it's Design or not up the top, then I have the normal version, but I have the lighting analysis tools (which I haven't looked at any further than clicking the button and it telling me I need to be using Mental Ray).
