  • Pulling out dongle while rendering?

It looks like this render is going to keep going over night. I'd really like to take the dongle home with me - would this kill the render? With the time the render has been going I don't want to risk trying..

I pull my dongle out while rendering all the time. What else is there to do?

Actually, I don't know if Vray checks for the dongle just at startup or not. Maybe test on a short rendering.

Just at the start of a render.

      Best regards,
      A.

(Well, to be honest, pulling out a dongle in the middle of a render with a possibility of terminating the render, scramble things, and even better, do some irreversible damage to the system, is part of the basic human nature. So I guess anyone tries it eventually )

I pull mine out all the time. I have never had an issue.

Well I didn't risk it - I left it in last night and now I have a third CPU. Great.

                    You guys are filthy.

I'll try it when the render is less critical
