  • particles problem over backburner

I wonder if anyone else have this problem. I am trying to render out particles on some render nodes via backburner, all 32 bit nodes, on 3dsmax 2008. It is like they calculate the particles differently? the result is scattered- some frames work together and some are totaly different. Only way for me to solve it is to render them out on one computer...
    verry disturbing

is your farm amd/intel mixed? I remember there were some possible differences in generating the seeds on older mixed procs. I think turning off use SSE may have been a fix, been a while since I have thought of it.

Thanks. no only intel here. mostly quad core I will try the sse thing though, otherwise I have to use point cache I guess, but that is not ideal either.

are you sure all the machines have the same service packs?
Also are you using any PFlow plugins?
