  • rain on glass ?

I looking for way to create this kind of effect:

I tried everything:Vray blend material, displacement map with water level etc. But can't get it looking real. Does anyone here had any experience with htis kind of effect and could give me any tips?

yes this is the problem that it's very close. Plus I think that in future I will need to have it animated. So I don't now...realflow?

i think realflow or glue3d will be your best option.
You could try metaballs (or whatever they are called) with pflow but i think you will get more realistic results with realflow.

I'd probably grab my video camera and tripod, point it at a window and spray the window with a hose

I second the hose on a window method.
Just composite whatever you need together. Should be too hard on a flat object like a window.
