3ds max design 2009 loading time

Is there anyone 3ds max user experiencing extra long loading time during startup?
I thought that it was normal but just last week I had to format my laptop and after a clean sw reinstall, it loads a LOT faster!!! ...plugins and add-ons are more or less the same

Workstation specs are:
Core 2 Quad QX 6700 @ 2.6 OC 3.2
4gb
quadro fx 1500
xp 64
max desgin 2009 64 creative extension vray sp2 64

Laptop specs are:
core2 Duo T7500 @ 2.2
4gb
GeForce 8400M GS
vista business 32
max desgin 2009 32 creative extension vray sp2 32

any ideas?

mine also loads long. But when I close it and open it again, it loads much faster the second time around. Lately however, I'm getting app crash when closing it...
