  • How can I convert fbx mocap files to be used with max biped?

    Hi all

I have a bunch of fbx mocap data files i want to use with max character studio biped. Obviously biped does not read fbx. How can I convert the fbx to bvh or anything else that work on biped.

P.S. I don't have motionbuilder so I cant use that to convert.

    Regards,
    Morne

max's help states that fbx files can be imported into character studio:

'You can import and export files in this format with 3ds Max.'

        and

'You can use character studio with 3ds Max FBX import/export support to simplify the animation of 3ds Max bones. To transform an animated biped into a set of animated bones, export it to FBX and then import your file.

Click the Help button on the FBX dialog to view the latest 3ds Max FBX Plug-in Guide. '

yes to simplify bones. I don't want to animate bones but want to animate biped. I already have the fbx file (in bones version). The question was how can I load the fbx information into my biped.

I ended up not using the fbx mocap, but just doing it manually...
