sadly the workflow is not very than efficient yet i think
(i have deep respect from the developers there, dont missunderstand me). but i think the videos area bit missleading. i would suggest reading the manual in detail.
at the moment in fry swap you have to:
1)export the final scene
2)you can choose only one object to be changeable afterwards
3) you have to render 3 noisefree renderings for swap manually per object, also full noise free.
4) after you have rendered the 3 extra renderigs you can exchange the materials. thats quite nice then, but until then the setup is quite time consuming and it is only one object.
so if you want to change 3 objects you have to render 9 extra renderings.
i hoped swap would work on all objects. maybe in future it will.but not at the moment.
i already told chema, the developer this should be more automated and be able to change more than only one object.
basicly if you use multlipass in vray you have the similar faster.
mackevision.de uses this method with vray multipass extensivly. they render one movie and change all car and interiour colors in nuke automaticly. so with one movie rendering htey get 1000 movies in one week. they do this for some of the german und USA car makers advertisment.
