I use Spyder3 Pro with a wide gamut monitor. I'm using color management all over and convert between profiles when needed. Just have to remember to save with sRGB profile before sending images to to clients so they can see close to what I can. What's annoying is the general microsoft applications which have no color management. So I see your point Plastic I'm not going back to narrow gamut anyway as my hobby is photography I want to get every colour I can get my hands on.
Maybe those struggling with their wide gamut and color management would benefit from this eye-opening article by cg artist Johan Steen:

I've not checked the spyder3 pro (I will) but my main interest in the colourmunki is it's ablility to sample colours from real-world samples (material swatches, paint colour charts etc.) Does the Spyder do this? Monitor calibration is also important too. (2 birds one USB gizmo)
