Hi-

I am working on an architectural project that has color options. I want an on-line flash app that will allow the user to pick a color button to change the color on the building. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Well there's different ways to do it depending on the building. Flash has a lot of options for messing with pictures, so if you rendered out the building with gray walls you could draw objects in Flash that covers the walls, set them to the colors you want to use, and then set the blend modes (if you have a new version of Flash) so it looks good. Then you can change the colors of the objects using Actionscript (which would even let the user select any color they wanted), or just trade out the objects.
Another way is to render out the different colors of the buildings as separate images. Then you can either swap out the entire picture, or just mask out the parts of the picture that has to be changed so that it doesn't have to load everything for every picture.
