  • How to create foil like effect with 3dsmax ?

    I wonder, if there's any ways to make a chips pack (like lays potato chips) react realistique to any movement inside (for ex. you shake it and the pack deforms) with 3dsmax cloth or whatever ?
    I just can't seem to trust myself
    So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

    I found that new max cloth is pretty great for doing stuff I need. Just a simple test.

              What love to see your cloth settings if that's what you used Paul Max 2010 apparently has more stuff oriented to "full" things like pillows and baloons but i'm loathed to move to it with all the reports of slow renders and corrupt material libraries.

                i did some foil once by converting a quadpatch to a nurbs surface with delone or however its spelt as the way to calculate the surface then back to editable poly then added a noise modifier then stripped all the smoothing groups.
