  • Viewport display slowdown

    Hi everyone,

Not Sure if I should post this here or in the problems area. What it is, when I've
been working in max, after a while the viewport seems to gradually slow right down,
until it gets to a state where I need to shut down max and restart it, it's almost as
though the graphics card memory is filling up and not emptying. I've done a search
on here but the two problems I found were not relevant.

    The specs are:

    Windows 64bit
    Max 2009 32bit (not 64bit because I'm using the swift 3D renderer)
    i7 920 processor
    12 gig ram
    Quadro FX 3500 graphics card
I'm also using max direct 3D

I'd really appreciate some help with this, I'm getting bored of having to keep shutting
my machine down every hours or so

    Cheers
    Steve

      Hi plastic,

A little update, i've installed the maxtreme 9 driver and fingers crossed
this seem to be doing the trick, if I havn't had to restart by a couple of
hours time I recon that's the way to go.

      see ya
