Can anyone recommend plugins or methods to add the human/realistic element to virtual cameras ?

I suppose the best example of this would be Wall-e. Slightly delayed motion, zoom, focus etc... all of that would be good to simulate.

I think this is what you want - https://secure.craftanimations.com/i...FE925D9E5E0578

    Focus is a seperate one.

They are in no way cheap, but they are very good.

These are the ones I have been looking at and they are excellent but as you mention, very expensive.

      From the demo movies I think I would need four;

      Observer cam
      Motion Filter cam
      Zoom and Focus cam and
      Humaniser cam

Which I think would total about a grand in £.

I have tried recording video and tracking it but actually haven't had any success with that. Its not a flexible method either.

Are there any other options ?

I would do some searching for max's motion capture controllers. You can bind camera controls to devices. Im not going to say its as elegant as those plugins, but its doable.

I have for interiors tbh, we got incredibly good results when we did some portfolio shots a while ago.

We printed out a plan of the scene, measured the distances of objects in the scene/noted them down, went to the roof of a multi storey car park and re-drew the main parts of the scene and focal points in chalk on the ground....
Got a suprisingly accurate result out of it

http://visualisationone.com/ - theres an example in the showreel (the mostly white/cream one with a dark wood floor), about 2/3 of the way along. That was the first test of the technique, there was a full animation we did with much better camera moves but the rendering was nicer on that one.

I watched your showreel a few months ago and to be honest its easily some of the best work out there, not trying to flatter or anything but its highly commendable.

Incidentially it was an old boss of mine when I worked in London that has used you guys in the past that gave me your link.

Here's a quick anim I created using max motion capture controller. Its pretty quick and dirty, but shows what can be done.

Hey, can you talk a little bit more about how this was done? Looks nice!

There's a full rez video tutorial I created. I used the bobo script found here:

                        scriptspot.com/bobo/mxs7/RecordNavPath/RecordNavigationPath_05.ms

Its not required, as you could get initial camera path anim however you choose.

I uploaded this tutorial to vimeo.com, but it hasn't been converted to HD yet, not sure when either. Its not very viewable in its current resolution there.

Cool I have been looking to do this for ages.
Unfortuately you cannot download the video as there is a limit.
I'll just have to attempt to work it out based on the tiny video!!

                            Cheers
