  • A little advice on LCD monitors.

Don't get anything with a TN panel. Just don't. Get an HP, or a Dell (the more expensive ones not the lower-end ones). I just got a Benq G2400WT which everyone is raving about as being a good monitor, and compared to my Dell 2405fps it's a complete piece of shit. The colors are way off, and everything is every so slightly doubled up. I fear my eyes will explode.

    Thankyou for your time.

LOL. I just went to your website and some title text pulled up on hover telling me not to buy one of those monitors.

    Thanks for the warning.

Strange... I have a G2400W and I have none of those problems... You should get it replaced.

Get a NEC Multisync LCD 2190UXi and never look back!
A full render queu is a thing of beauty !

I've got a Dell 24" or some such. The picture is great but I don't have HDCP built into the monitor so I can't view any video content off of my bluray drive. I got the bluray drive for data but still, it's irksome. I imagine most monitors have HDCP but that is something I would be sure of before you buy.

Can you not use a HDMI to DVI converter? I know it works the other way round.

            Best regards,

Yep, I think I had read that somewhere before I bought my Dell UltraSharp 2709W the other day
              TN: Bad
              VA: Good
              IPS: Best

At least the dell website shows the different panels:
              http://www1.la.dell.com/content/prod...dt1&l=en&s=bsd

I guess that by the price one can also judge the quality.

It's exacerbated by the fact that I have the TN panel vertical:
