does anyone know any way of getting HD finalcut pro footage to open on a PC or should i just shoot the hard drive and then myself to put me out of my misery

Depends on the codec - A lot of apple stuff is the quicktime prores codec which isnt available on the pc as far as I know - you might be looking at transcoding it into something else for the pc. -

Excellent! that's more than likely your issue - you can get your fcp editor to check the codec the quicktime movies using with the normal movie properties option.Last edited by joconnell; 17-05-2009, 09:14 AM.Comment
