  • Laser printer recommendations?

I was given a task to do some research into what's on the market in laser printers. We need A3 output, professional machine with average 500-1000 copies a day. The most important criteria is quality of prints, reliability and speed, in that order. I did some research and couldn't find any good, up-to-date sites with comparison and reviews. Most are from 2006-2007.
So far I narrowed my choice to FujiXerox, KonicaMinolta and Canon brands.

I'd appreciate any suggestions and first hand experiences.

    Kind regards

We did a bit of reseach into this earlier this year. I'm no expert but I did learn a bit about A3 colour printers.

3 that stood out at different price points were:

        Magicolor 8650 - http://www2.konicaminolta.co.uk/prin...olor-8650.html

        Xerox Phaser 7760GX - http://http://www.office.xerox.com/p...7760/enus.html

        Canon 4040 - http://www.canon.co.uk/For_Work/Products/Professional_Print/Digital_Colour_Production/CLC4040/index.asp?source=selector

Printers, like monitors have a colour resolution as well as dpi resolution. The Canon is the only one I could find with true 8 bit colour for each dot but it is the most expensive.

Unfortunately we haven't bought any of them yet.

We sent examples of the things we want to print to the dealers. Basically, from what we got back, we decided if we can't have the Canon then we may as well not bother. It's the only one that's significantly better than the colour copier we already have.

Sorry I can't be of more help.
