animation of 3d-people

hi there,
i want to make an animation of people walking through an interior.
my only knowledge is that AXYZ sells 3d animated people.
would be thankfull for any suggestions to get a start.

Yup, axyz offers some models whch animate quite nice and also some motion capture files for them (if i remeber it correctly you have to buy them seperatly). Another source could be http://www.complete-characters.com, the bundle allready comes with some MoCap files. Got3d.com also has some animated 3d People.

Yep if you grab the axyz rigged people they've got a biped which you can load motion capture files into - they work quite well if you've got a library of good walk mocap files - there's a lot around including some on the install cds of your copy of max.

RocketBox comes with the same thing..
You load the premade generic animation files..

Another vote for AXYZ rigged characters. Pick those up, pick some of their mocap up, apply, tweak, and save down to a vertex cache.
