  • Random UVW

Anyone have a good tip for randomizing box UVW coordinates on a whole bunch of objects? I have about 30 courses of stonework (each modelled seperatly) which need the same UVW sized coords, but offset randomly in the xy directions.

I have found a script called NRB Random UVW, but it doesn't seem to work for me
    Kind Regards,

You could as well have one UVW, but a multi-sub mat, each with the texture turned a little.

      hi,
      i do it like that:
i take bunch of instanced objects, apply uvw on all of them at once (it sets it up on top of them in reference mode) and then i use random uvw from this script http://scriptspot.com/3ds-max/mass-randomizer , works like a charm every time

There's a soulburn script for that.

        transformRandomizer

Lets you translate, rotate and scale a group of objects or modifier gizmos by a random amount.

EDIT: Remember that your pivot mode controls the point about which the transform happens when you have a large group of objects selected.

This is the mode you will want to use:

You're kidding? I searched everywhere within Soulburn assuming there would be something but didn't find it!!! Cheers!

TIKs Mass Randomizer saved me in the meantime.
