  • Interactive Presentation?

    Greetings!

A client asked to create a presentation with a floorplan, and when he move the mouse over living room, kitchen etc a larger pic with the rendering will pop up.

I don't want to use flash (I dont have it, and I dont like it ).

Whats the easiest way to create something like this?

    many thanks.
    Bill.

Flash really is the way to go for stuff like this.
However, considering you dont like flash (assuming you mean the proper one)...

It's flash made for designers, so it's built from the ground up to be as user friendly as possible and gives constant feedback on what you're doing.
For your purposes you could have learnt the entire program and done the job within a day, maybe half if you really get into it.

you can also do interactive floorplans with dhtml/javascript...with frameworks like mootools, jquery you can draw semi-transparent regions, rollover effects, animated layers/bitmaps.

but that's even more complicated than flash...

          thanks for the replies.

I don't want to use it, because

          a. it costs alot.
          b. the interface is weird, and I dont like it.

but looks like its the way to go, so I will give a try!

The link I posted is cheap, and has a very easy to use interface. Try that first, it's more than capable of doing what you need.

Well, I have tried the trial of swiss max. In an hour or so and I did the thing, but I found another better way.

              Keynote (the mac app).

It does this beautifully, and very eas, and I allready have it, So I will use that!

              many thanks for the suggestions.
