The guy had the audacity to hotlink one of my image from his site:

I'm having issues retrieving it but I see my site (lunarstudio) in his code.

Is there anyone else's images there?

All I see is a blog by an architect.

However when I closed the tab - his website proceeded to open 100 tabs a second with it in, it went fucking crazy and I had to crash out.
What the hell does he think this will achieve?

You can replace your image by another of a different subject, if the guy sees some XXX image in his gallery he'll get the message.

Don't forget to change the link on your web though

You can redirect images if they're being requested by a domain or site that isn't authorised - no need to change your own images!

Yeah - however I'm running into serious issues with my hotlink protection since I've set up about 500 301 redirects manually... All the indexed images by Google then starts to spit out permission errors when people click on them.

Haven't quite figured out how to fix this until the site gets indexed properly.

Seems like the second shifted his page around although my link is still there when you click the 'services tab.'

There's only one problem and it's that Google HATES it when people rename images and directories. You'll go from a pagerank 4 status down to 0 as I found out recently...

As I said before, I have 500 301 redirects - if I put image hotlinking protection, the 301s break and I loose massive ranking on the Internet.

I'd rather have a bunch of people snag stuff with watermarks then encounter some unrepairable damage on the search engines. I'm kinda stuck unfortunately.
