  • Adjusting Viewport brightness

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a way of turning down the brightness in a 3ds max viewport. Some scenes i've been working on appear very bright in the viewport.
I tried turning reverting to default lighting, but for some reason it jumps back to the overxposed lighting regularly.
A workaround i have been using is to adjust the Global Lighting colour in the Environment panel, but then i need to adjust it back every time i render...
Any tools or methods for adjusting viewport brightness?

    Hello,
    Click 8. (Environment and Effects)
    Lover GLobal Lighting- Tint Level.
Default is 1. When you lower it, your viewport will be darker.

      hi elfa
      thanks for the reply.
yeah, i am doing that at the moment, but it also changes the render, so need to remember to set it back to the default every time i render.
would be nice if there was a tool or plugin which only adjusted the viewport, while leaving the renders the same.
looks like i'll just need to keep switching the tint value back and forth for now...
