  • Nuke for compositing. What for editing?

    Hi all

So for me it's pretty much a done deal to move over to Nuke with my next project, but what do you guys use for editing on a timeline? Premiere? Vegas? Anything else?
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

Personally i'd prefer an Avid. Here at work we do have an FCP edit suite tho.

For most an XPress or XPress+Modo should do. Liquid aint too bad, but is a completely diff approach. Have yet to see anything as stable and reliable as a properly configured avid

You don't get Xpress anymore. It was end of life 30 June 2008. They've now merged it into Avid Media Composer. See here:

My sister said school got Canopus Edius after years of Premiere and it apparently kicked the pants off Premiere - stability and speed wise. Never looked at it though.

Sony vegas is very quick and intuitive if you're going software only!
