Graph Import/Export or Creator

I have a client that wants a 3d graph done in 3dsmax. Is there any way to get a 3d graph or create a graph based on data into max? I looked for scripts or plugins, and haven't found any.

You can do it with MAX's terrain using a map.

Problem is - that I don't have the contours/splines.

I'd like to be able to import numbers/data and turn it into a visual representation based on that alone.

CorelDraw

CorelGraph (CorelDraw) could do that no problem, did do in the late 80's anyway.
