  • The amazing, empty, 190mb scene file

What the hell is going on here.

You have reactor data stored with it.

"Utilities Panel/reactor/collisions/clear" to delete this information.

We are having the same problem lately, seems that some asset we use has reactor data and "infects" the scenes where we use it.

That was it. Codi, you are my Jesus for the month. It was taking up 4.7gb to have the scene open, now it's down to a more palatable 1gb, and the filesize is ~7mb

for future reference, there is another culprit for file-size bloat... mixers. If you have a contaminated file whenever you merge data from it into another file, the contageon is passed on. Another sympton is max crashing whenever you try to close it.

just a little bump, but this has made my day.

file size bloated this morning to around 260 meg, saw it had 17million collisions after finding this thread.

a quick clear and its working perfectly, and only a 45 meg file.

cheers guys for saving my sanity!
