Yeah...the concept is cool...and it works really well. Just need some variety in the design options.

I wonder if he could make a script similar to that Lightwave plugin that generates interiors as well... Can't seem to find the link which was posted here.

The two are quite different AFAIK.

The easiest way I can think of to describe the latter is as a portal.

The interior tool basically uses decals as a viewing portal for an animated texture that follows the view and adjusts the image it shows based upon the viewing angle to the decal, so negligible geometry is involved in the scene. An amount of RAM would be needed at rendertime to make the textures available on demand, but the tech is evidently lightweight enough to reside on VRAM for use in videogames and realtime applications, so it shouldn't be an issue.

There was a wishlist item a while back that touched on this, maybe something we will see in VRay 2.0?

Yeah I realize that they are two different things.

However, think about it: automatic buildings + automatic interiors for VRay = win.

Mr. Ibele is up to version 0.52 now, with some notable VRay features.

He is well on his way to creating a monopoly in the building generator market...and with a freely available script no less!
