  • How can I find the lenth of a line in max?

    Hi all

This is pretty simple in AutoCAD, but how can I do it in max?
    (spline with curves in XYZ)
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

In the utilities pannel there is the Measure tool. Among other info, it tells you the length of a spline.

I often find myself using the "rectangle" tool when drawing specific length construction lines. Once my linework is complete, I'll convert it all to editable spline and blow away the lines I don't want. Ya... I know... Tell me about it.

There is the PolySpline script for doing basic linework in MAX like in Autocad:

But never got used to it, I always use the rectangle trick too
